 News:

April 1 2008

Greetings all,
I hope everyone has had their fill of snowmobiling by now. What a great winter for it.
We are happy to report that we have recently acquired two new club members. It’s never to late to join. Every membership counts.

(of course if you’re reading this, you are more than likely a member already). However, if you know snowmobile riders who are not

club members, please be sure to make them aware of the increasing need for their memberships. With increasing fuel costs, grooming

the trails has become much more expensive as well and membership dues help off set the cost.
President Mark Fox and all club members would like to thank the new and also all the die hard “old” members for all their help maintaining

the trails this season. We now have two tucker groomers back on the trails so we can regain our reputation of smooth trails in Buckfield.

We apologize once again for the rough trails during the few week period that the groomers weren’t around. The two Skandics still get used

and do a great job on the secondary trails. Thanks to those drivers also.
The clubs was able to send a donation of $700.00 to The Pine Tree Camp. We wish it could be more every year but are also happy that we

raised that much money from the annual spaghetti feed.
Sue Litchfield donated her time as janitor for the day and we are grateful for her generosity. Thanks Sue.
The valentine dance at Quimby Hall was a big success. The club profited $800.00. That money will be kept for trail grooming expenses.

Everyone at the dance seemed to be having a great time. Thanks to all club members who were there before, during and after the event

to make it all happen.

Twenty week booster drawings are well under way. Congratulation to the following winners:
Richard Colpitts
Joyce Marshall
Betty McAllister
Tim Knights
Doug Collins
Mike Newton
Ted Dunn
Ruth Frechette
Tom Bragg
Dick Pope
Trudy Newton
Randy Crocker
There are still plenty more chances to win. The big payout drawings will be at the last meeting of the season which is April 16th at 7:00pm

at the club house on Morrill Street. Good luck to all.
